How smart$ is delivered

SMART$ has been created specifically for New Zealand young people and the financial challenges they face. It is delivered by Life Education Trust NZ to students at a Year 10 level in a school setting.

SMART$ is a interactive performance following the decisions and behaviour of characters focusing on traditional needs versus wants and opportunity costs covering; saving vs deferred payment schemes, credit cards and Kiwi Saver. Following the performance students take part in a workshop, encouraging discussion and further thinking to reinforce the key learning points.

To extend learning after the session, Life Education have partnered with Banqer, New Zealand's leading online teacher and student resource, to provide a free trial of their online learning platform for secondary schools. In Banqer High, students explore financial concepts through online simulation in the school classroom.
